B is for Bold

Don't be afraid to try bold prints and bold colours! Have a bit of fun with this fashion statement by wearing bold pants with a plain t-shirt, or, if your brave enough, wear an entirely bold outfit. Try just one print or a mix of prints. Try big prints and small prints. Try a fluro colour or a deep ox-blood red. Try anything that will make you stand out from the crowd and remember to always have fun!

Simply Amazing Face Mask

As the long weekend climbs into the last few days, there's no better time to pamper oneself! One of my favourite homemade face masks, and a super simple recipe too, is an avocado and honey mask...

Ingredients:
½ Ripe Organic Avocado
¼ Cup Raw Organic Honey

All you need to do is mash up the avocado until it's smooth, mix in the honey, and lay the mixture on nice and thick. Let the mask do it's magic for 5-10 minutes and wash it off for gorgeous skin!

The Little Black Dress

A timeless classic that has lasted through the ages and doesn't seem to be relenting anytime soon. The first LBD was created by none other than the famous, prestigious designer Coco Chanel, however, it wasn't until Audrey Hepburn wore an LBD created by the equally inspiring Hubert De Givenchy, that the trend rose to its optimum height and because a wardrobe staple, classic and go to piece for every woman.

Whilst styles and trends may be forever changing, the LBD is one fashion piece which will never be frowned upon, or though to be outdated. Necklines, hemlines and sleeve lengths may change and vary greatly with each coming season, but one thing is for sure, the LBD will always be in high demand by women who want to look and feel their best.

An LBD can be worn for just about any occasion (you probably wouldn't wear it horseback riding...). The beauty of this dress is that you can tailor it to your individual style, and you can buy as many different styles as you like ... If you want to, why not have one casual LBD and one formal, one with a plain design and one with intricate detail?

The Little Black Dress is a timeless fashion icon, here are a few of my fav designs!

 A stunning vintage LBD.
An icon never to be forgotten!
This beaded design puts a fun twist on the LBD, great for a night on the town.
This LBD is intricately designed and oh so pretty!
A classic look, with the right amount of sparkle.

Let me know your thoughts on the LBD in the comments section below ... Do you have one favourite or several!?

A Wardrobe for any ocassion

How many times have you started dismally into your closet, wishing you had that one magical item of clothing that is perfect for your special date, or big job interview, but instead, find yourself with absolutely nothing to wear!?

I know I've struggled through this situation on many an occasion, and most of the time, I would end up walking out of the house dissatisfied with my attire, feeling second rate, because I had to make a last minute decision between two tops that I wasn't particularly fond off to begin with. I know most, if not all, women can agree that they have spent hours on end standing in front of the mirror, trying on outfit after outfit, and not finding anything to wear ... it seems to be a right of passage, or something along those lines, towards finding the perfect outfit that will carry you through the day or night and rack in the compliments!

But, what if I told you that there was no need to spend hours stressing over what to wear, that you didn't need to go shopping every single time an event popped up on your busy calendar (although I'm sure you'd love to if you had the time ... and the money)? I bet you'd be falling at my feet begging for my secret answer to all your prayers.

I can tell you know that there is no secret ... All you need is a comprehensive wardrobe that will carry you though any situation and leaving you looking fabulous, even if you can't find that perfect dress that you really wanted to wear!

Whilst the list below will allow you to rest assured that you will have something in your wardrobe to wear for any occasion which may present itself, I am in no way telling you that these are the only clothes you should ever buy ... Lets face it, how dull would your wardrobe feel if you weren't allowed to add fun pieces, splurge a little and add an impulse buy in every mow and then!?
Instead, I am providing you with a list of staple, investment pieces which will "cover your ass" when you can't find that perfect job interview blouse, or cocktail party dress!

Staple items for every woman's wardrobe

Clothes:
1. The Little Black Dress
2. Skirts
3. Dark wash denim
4. Collared button down tops
5. White and black tops
6. A Blazer
7. A Coat

Shoes:
8. Black heels
9. Boots
10. Flats
11. Embellished shoes

The extras
12. A chain clutch
13. An over-sized bag
14. A simple chain necklace
15. Small jeweled earrings
16. Any to-die-for items couldn't live without!

Remember ladies this is just the backbone to your wardrobe and I definitely condone adding more vibrant and fancier items, like floral print jeans, or a gorgeous flowing maxi dress.

Most importantly, remember to have fun with your wardrobe and to feel fabulous in what you wear!
